Transparency & Governance
Data Sources, Monitoring Architecture & Alert Methodology
How CreditWatchGo detects official corporate events, evaluates material credit risk, and connects public UK filings directly to your actual commercial exposure.
Core Product Philosophy
Evidence First. No Black-Box Credit Scores.
CreditWatchGo is built on a clear premise: credit professionals and business owners make better risk decisions when presented with verifiable official source documents, rather than an opaque, proprietary algorithm.
01
Primary Source Evidence
Every risk alert is grounded in official UK statutory records: Companies House statutory filings and The Gazette official legal notices. We do not use unverified rumours or third-party sentiment scrapers.
02
Customer Financial Exposure
An event only has meaning in the context of the money you have at risk. Exposure figures, credit limits, and agreed payment terms are entered directly by you, connecting public events to your actual balance sheet.
03
Explainable Severity Rules
Severity is determined by clear, auditable rules based on legal event types and exposure thresholds. We tell you exactly why an alert was marked Critical, High, Medium, or Low.
Data Ingestion Architecture
Official Sources and Ingestion Frequencies
We ingest data continuously throughout official publishing windows, eliminating the delay between an official filing and your team’s notification.
UK Companies HouseContinuous Stream + REST
Companies House maintains the official registrar of companies for England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. CreditWatchGo monitors:
- Insolvency & Dissolution: Formal liquidation filings, voluntary strike-offs, and compulsory strike-off proposals.
- Charges & Mortgages (MR01): Registration of fixed and floating debentures over company property and book debts.
- Officers & Governance: Director resignations, new appointments, and changes in significant control (PSC).
- Registered Office: Abrupt changes in registered legal addresses or corporate service locations.
- Filing Compliance: Late submission warnings for annual accounts and confirmation statements.
The GazetteAutomated Legal Notice Polling
The Gazette (London, Edinburgh, and Belfast) is the UK's official public record for statutory and legal notices. Gazette legal notices often appear days or weeks before formal paperwork is completed at Companies House:
- Winding-up Petitions: Creditor petitions submitted to the High Court or County Courts to liquidate insolvent companies.
- Appointment of Administrators: Emergency appointment of insolvency practitioners to take control of troubled businesses.
- Creditors' Meetings: Statutory notices convening meetings under the Insolvency Act 1986.
- Appointment of Liquidators: Members' voluntary (MVL) and creditors' voluntary liquidations (CVL).
- Notice of Intended Dividends: Distribution schedules for creditor claims.
Risk Classification
The 4-Tier Severity Determination Model
Alerts in CreditWatchGo are prioritized to prevent notification fatigue while ensuring you never miss a catastrophic risk event.
CriticalImmediate Cash Flow Risk / Legal Insolvency
Includes winding-up petitions, administration orders, appointment of provisional liquidators, and receivership notices. When a customer with open exposure reaches this state, shipments should be placed on hold immediately and accounts reconciled.
HighMaterial Structural Changes
Includes Gazette first strike-off gazette notices, registration of new floating charges or debentures (which subordinate unsecured trade creditors), and director resignations on counterparties with active open balances.
MediumGovernance & Administrative Updates
Includes appointment of new company directors, PSC cessation or appointments, registered office address changes, and overdue confirmation statements.
LowRoutine Statutory Filings
Includes on-time statutory accounts filings, routine annual confirmation statements, and minor company name alterations.
Auditability
Every Alert Is Traceable to Its Origin
When a credit controller receives an alert, they need to verify the filing immediately before phoning a customer or halting an order. CreditWatchGo attaches verified metadata to every notification:
